Let me catch you up.....

I have been so busy with the holidays and everything else I haven't updated you all on the happenings in our lives.
First let me start with Weston. He is working hard for Gurkin Construction out at a chemical plant in Leland. He likes it pretty good, as much as anyone likes their job.
Kylie is getting bigger and smarter everyday. She is a fantastic artist and loves to draw. She is still loving Dora and any and every penguin she can get her little hands on. Santa brought her a big girl Disney Princess bike for Christmas and she loves it. She actually does very well on it. Still trying to figure out how to pedal and steer at the same time but she's getting the hang of it.
And me well I finished out the last semester with 3 B's and 1 A. I am very proud of that too. I didn't think it would turn out that good. This past semester was a real struggle. I am taking a semester off this Spring to get all the wedding plans together.

Speaking of the wedding, we have all of our vendors, at least I think so.
They are:
Caterer & Wedding Cake Baker: Amy Ward and Joyce Brill
Florist: Mary Beth Bordeaux
Photographer: Rhonda Howard
D.J.: Pete Peterson
Groom's Cake Baker: Taylor Ross
Officiant: Pastor Brian Beaver
Bridal Shop: Cara @ David's Bridal
Soloist: Hannah Beaver
Musician: Recording by Susan Ward
Hair Stylist: Debra Watts
Makeup Artist: Jenny McMahon
Ceremony & Reception Venue: The Kelly House in Riegelwood, NC

What we have left to do is book the rentals from Party Suppliers, find black suits and pink ties for the groomsmen, buy our wedding rings, and make invitations and the rest of the paper stuff.
I have my dress at home but haven't tried it on. I am waiting till the holidays are over so I can actually fit in it. We still haven't got the bridesmaids dresses in yet. They are expected to arrive the beginning of January. My task for this month is to get the invitations done, order the rentals, and order our wedding rings. We'll see how this month goes. We hope you all have a super fantastic New Year! We love you all! God Bless!

I orderes my dress!!!!!

Monday night I ordered my dress! I am so excited. She said it should be here by January at the very latest. I also ordered all 4 bridesmaids dresses and Hannah's dress. She will be matching but not wearing the same dress as any of the others. I was so glad to get it over with. Now I just have to wait for them to all come in. One more check on the list!
This past week Weston also has been working on getting everything in the house fixed up and ready for him to move in. I am so excited for that to finally happen. He did a great job without any of my help. I am so proud of him. We just need to finish painting the bedroom and get the bathroom done and those rooms will be finished.

Black Friday

Here it is the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday. As you can tell no I am not shopping. I don't plan on going anywhere until work tonight. By then I hope to find less traffic in Wilmington.

So wedding plans are coming along...we have both cakes lined up, and the food is basically set. I'm working on getting names and addresses done on the guest list. The big things now are photographer, finding the guy's attire, getting my dress and the bridesmaids dresses ordered (which I am doing on Monday), and working on the invitations. The big thing I am worried about right now is not having a photographer yet.

But I do feel pretty on track with everything else.

We Painted!

So we painted our bedroom in the new house yesterday and the day before. It's Sea Sparkle! A greenishy-blue color. Hopefully it will match the bed stuff we have registered for at Bed Bath & Beyond. I am so excited next the bathroom. YAY! We're making progress!

The Cape Fear Wedding Show

Well it's Monday morning again. Yesterday Amanda and I went to the Cape Fear wedding show downtown. We got alot of info about photographers and videographers and some cake people. It was pretty interesting and informative. I also got free nice glass toasting flutes from the lady at the Dillard's booth. She really wanted me to register so I did and she just gave them to me. Pretty neat, I thought. Weston didn't really seem as excited when I showed them to him.
I also talked to the lady that I really want to do our cakes and she's lowered the price a little. Hopefully it will be low enough for our budget. We are also going to meet with Pastor Brian today to talk about the wedding and all that good stuff. Weston's actually pretty into it. Well I just wanted to get the info about the show put up. Have a great day!

The Search for the Dress

Today my mom came with me to try my dress on (well it's not technically mine yet, but it's the dress I love). It's so pretty, my mom actually teared up and everything. Kylie tried on her dress too. It was so cute but very big on her. The dress she has picked out (by herself) is over $100. We would also have to get it altered because she is so tiny. So we will probably end up going to a cheaper place for her little flower girl dress. She's so excited though. She wants to look just like mommy. I can't wait for her daddy and her papa to see her that day.
So I'm pretty sure that this is "the" dress. Hopefully i'll get to order everything next month. We'll see!
